Removal, check of a state and installation of a belt of the GRM drive
Removal
|
|
Exact observance of phases of gas distribution is very important, but for DOHC engines important extremely. Incorrect installation of phases can seriously damage the engine. Be accurate at installation of a belt of the GRM drive and before the first start after repair double-check coincidence of tags.
|
|
|
Do not turn cranked or camshafts at the taken-off GRM belt, and also do not turn the engine for cogwheels of camshafts. Turn the engine only in its normal direction (clockwise).
|
Assembly of the GRM drive
|
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Turn out spark plugs.
3. Remove all components disturbing to removal of a cover of a GRM belt.
4. Uncover (1) GRM belt (address to an illustration above).
5. Turn a cranked shaft clockwise and level adjusting tags (2).
6. Make sure that tags (4) too coincided.
7. Give and completely turn out bolts of fastening of assembly of a natyazhitel of a GRM belt.
8. Remove assembly of a natyazhitel (6), turn out a bolt (7) pulleys of a natyazhitel and remove a pulley (8).
9. Take off a GRM drive belt. |

Installation

|
1. Record a rod of a natyazhitel of a belt of the GRM drive, kroshev a hairpin 1.5 mm thick in openings in a rod and the natyazhitel.
2. Put on a GRM belt pulleys and make sure that adjusting tags coincide.
3. Establish a pulley of a natyazhitel and tighten bolts of his fastening with effort of 34 Nanometers.
4. Establish a natyazhitel and tighten bolts of his fastening with effort of 13 Nanometers.
5. Take out a lock hairpin, thereby having pulled a belt.
6. Turn a cranked shaft on two turns clockwise. Make sure that adjusting tags coincide. Otherwise repeat procedure of installation and a tension of a GRM belt.
7. Establish other being removed components upside-down. Tighten fixture with the demanded effort.
8. Dump indications To/L replacement of a belt of the GRM drive. For this purpose address on HUNDRED Toyotas.
9. After replacement of a belt of the GRM drive check operation of the fuel pump of a high pressure. |
