 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Corners of installation of forward wheels define geometry of situation of the last concerning a suspension bracket of the car and a paving. Violation of adjustment of this geometry conducts to decrease in controllability of the car and increase of speed of wear of tires. The corners of installation of forward wheels of the car which are subject to control are among disorder, vybeg (a corner of a longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel) and convergence (address to an illustration above).
2. Adjustment of geometry of a forward suspension bracket demands use of the special expensive and bulky equipment and its performance should be charged to specialists of car service.
3. Data size to each other of forward edges of wheels of the car is called as convergence. Such violation of parallelism of installation of wheels allows to minimize wear of a protector at the expense of a skid at commission of turns. At zero convergence distance between forward edges of wheels equally to distance between their back edges. Normal convergence usually does not exceed inch shares (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Adjustment of convergence of forward wheels is carried out by adjustment of length of steering drafts due to change of provision of their tips. Violation of adjustment of convergence conducts to acceleration of wear of protectors of tires due to slipping them on a paving.
4. The tilt angle of the plane of wheels concerning a vertical is called as disorder. If wheels are inclined by the upper edges outside, disorder is called positive, and vice versa. The size of disorder is measured in degrees. Correctness of adjustment of disorder determines the size and the provision of a spot of contact of protectors with the road and allows to compensate changes in suspension bracket geometry during commission of turns and at the movement of the car on a rough paving. Correction of disorder is made by rotation of the special adjusting cams installed in forward and back part of the top levers of a suspension bracket.
5. Vybegom is called a corner of a longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel, i.e., a deviation corner from a vertical of an axis of turn of a wheel in the plane of the last. If the axis of turn is inclined back, vybeg is called positive, and on the contrary. Correction of a vybeg is made along with correction of disorder. By analogy, a cross tilt angle of an axis of turn of a wheel call a corner of the deviation imagined shkvornya from a vertical in the plane, perpendicular DP of the car.

Preliminary checks

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Estimate degree of wear of protectors, check pressure of a rating of tires.
2. Make sure that the size of a lateral beating of wheels does not exceed 1.2 mm.
3. Check adjustment of a pretightness of bearings of forward wheels.
4. Estimate reliability of fastening of components of a forward suspension bracket and the steering drive. Estimate the size of a side play of spherical support.
5. Check serviceability of a condition of shock-absorbers.

Check and adjustment of disorder and corners of longitudinal and cross inclinations of an axis of turn of a wheel

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tire out the car on the adjusting stand and perform measurement of the under control parameters listed in heading of subsection (see Specifications).
2a. If the size of disorder and/or corner of a longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel (vybeg) does not meet the accepted standards, it is necessary to make the corresponding adjustment by rotation forward...
2b.... and/or a back adjusting cam of the lower lever of a suspension bracket (address to accompanying illustrations).
3. If after performance of adjustment of disorder and a vybeg the corner of a cross inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel exceeds the limit of admissible range, it is necessary to check a condition of a rotary fist and elements of a forward suspension bracket.

Check and adjustment of convergence of forward wheels

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Shake the car for the purpose of shrinkage of elements of a suspension bracket.
2. Establish forward wheels in rectilinear situation and give a ride to the car forward approximately on 5 meters.
3. Note the central points of the back parties of protectors and measure distance between them (In) (address to an accompanying illustration).
4. Give a ride to the car forward so that the put-down tags moved on wheel axis height, but from the forward party of the last and perform similar previous measurement (And) (address to an accompanying illustration).
5. The size of convergence is defined by subtraction from result of the first measurement result of the second (In – And). Compare the received difference to requirements of Specifications.
6. In case of need weaken nuts of coupling collars of tips of steering drafts and as appropriate correct length of the last. Track that after completion of adjustment of length of drafts remained equal each other.
