Removal

Components of assembly of the oil pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the engine from the car and establish it on the suitable stand.
2. Take off a gas-distributing belt, its intermediate rollers and a pulley of a cranked shaft (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of a gas-distributing belt and cogwheels of the GRM drive).
3. Remove the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft (CKP).
4. Give a bolt of fastening directing the probe of measurement of level of motive oil to the left head of cylinders and remove the directing.
5. Remove an oil filter, the oil cooler and an arm of the filter from forward part of the block of cylinders, previously having disconnected a hose from the oil cooler and I will corrode conductings on the oil pressure sensor switch.
6. Remove the pallet of a case and, if necessary, a maslozabornik (see the Section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine).
7. Give 8 bolts of fastening of the oil pump and remove it from the block, trying not to damage their interfaced a surface. Throw out laying – for installation it will be required new.

The oil pump fastens bolts of the different size – do not mix them at installation!

8. Turn out a stopper, remove a sealing ring and make dismantling of the reducing valve (address to an illustration above).

The spring of valvate assembly is squeezed rather hardly, protect eyes and hands!

9. By means of a big screw-driver with a crosswise sting turn out eight fixing screws and remove a back cover of pump assembly and take pump gear wheels.
10. Scratch out all traces of sealant and material of old laying from the interfaced surfaces of the pump and block of the engine, then wipe surfaces the rags moistened in acetone.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Wash out all components in solvent, then check them for existence of signs of excessive wear and mechanical damages.
2. Examine the rubbing surfaces of components of the reducing valve, estimate a condition of a valvate spring. In case of need make replacement of the valve assembled.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lay in a pump housing the conducting and conducted gear wheels marking towards a cover.
2. Fill cavities in assembly by technical vaseline and establish a back cover. In a diagonal order strongly tighten screws of fastening of a cover.
3. Oil components of the reducing valve pure motive and establish them on the regular place.

4. Impose a RTV sealant 3 mm wide pillow on the interfaced pump surface, be not overzealous: sealant should not get in maslotok and bolted openings (address to an accompanying illustration). Installation of the pump has to be complete within five minutes after sealant imposing.

5. Lay a new sealing ring in the block.
6. Achieve the correct introduction of the leading gear wheel to gearing with a pin of a cranked shaft and install the pump on the regular place.

7. Screw fixing bolts on the former places and tighten them in a diagonal order with the demanded effort (address to an accompanying illustration).

8. Installation of the remained components is made as it should be, the return to an order of their dismantle. Tighten fixture with the demanded effort.
9. Add necessary amount of engine oil, start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks.
10. Double-check the level of motive oil.
