2.10.3. Module of the fuel pump
In the car the incorporated module of the fuel pump is used. It is used both on petrol and on options diesel engines. The module of the fuel pump includes all knots necessary for control of level and supply of fuel.
On petrol engines the fuel filter is established in the module. On diesel engines the external fuel filter which settles down in a motor compartment is used. The module for diesel engines also differs that the preliminary fuel pump is not used for DTH Z 17 DTL and Z 17 engines.
Design of the module of the fuel pump
On the scheme the approximate design of the module of the fuel pump below is shown. The module of the fuel pump contains knots which do not treat all complete sets of the engine.
Fuel pump of preliminary supply of fuel
On the car, access to the module of the fuel pump for maintenance is provided through an opening settling down under a back seat in the floor panel. The pillow of back sitting should be removed for receiving access to an opening.
Fuel pump of preliminary supply of fuel (the roller pump)
The fuel pump of preliminary supply of fuel is established in the module of the fuel pump. The problem of the fuel pump of preliminary supply of fuel consists in submitting fuel enough at a certain pressure upon an admission to the engine under all working conditions. It consists of a cover with electric sockets, the return valve and the target union. The cover usually also contains the coal brushes necessary for operation of the electric motor and an element of suppression of hindrances.
Requirements to operation of the roller pump:
– an expense from 60 to 200 l/h;
– pressure on an admission in fuel system from 3,0 to 4,5 bar.
The special tool is required for removal of the module of the fuel pump. In drawing the KM special adaptation 6391 is shown. Four directing are established vertically in existing directing the module of the fuel pump for separation of the module from arms and removal assembled.
