1.7.6. Easytronic transmission

The automated mechanical transmission of Easytronic allows to carry out manual (a manual mode) or automatic (an automatic mode) gear shifting, thus in both modes is provided automatic control of coupling.

Indication of a mode and the included transfer is displayed on the display.

Start-up of the engine is possible only at the pressed pedal of a brake. On the indicator of a transmission the badge N is shown. At not pressed pedal of a brake the badge N blinks.

Switching in neutral situation before engine start-up not necessarily. Even by the included transfer the transmission before engine start-up automatically is switched in neutral situation. Because of it the small delay of start-up of the engine is possible.

The gear shifting lever always should move in each direction against the stop. After each action it automatically comes back to average situation therefore it is necessary to watch transfer/mode indication on the transmission indicator.

Press a brake pedal, release the parking brake, transfer the gear shifting lever to A.Sistema Easytronic's position it will be switched in an automatic mode and will include the first transfer (at the included winter mode – the second transfer). On the indicator of a transmission the A1 symbol (will be displayed at the included winter mode – А2).

It occurs also in that case when after engine start-up at the pressed pedal of a brake the gear shifting lever for the first time is transferred to situation + or-.

After a brake otpuskaniye the car will begin movement.

It is possible to get under way also from a place, without pressing a brake if at once after moving of the lever of gear shifting to press an accelerator pedal. If it not to press, transfer will not join (a symbol And will blink). Transfer the gear shifting lever to situation N and begin movement, having pressed a brake, and then having moved the gear shifting lever to situation A.

In an automatic mode gear shifting is carried out automatically depending on road conditions.

In a manual mode of transfer are switched manually. On the indicator of a transmission the letter M and the included transfer is displayed.

At too low number of turns of the engine the transmission of Easytronic is switched to lower transfer automatically even in a manual mode. It prevents engine muffling.

If higher transfer is chosen at insufficient speed or lower transfer at too high speed, switching is not made. It prevents too low or too high turns.

By repeated moving of the lever of gear shifting with a short interval it is possible to pass transfers.

If the automatic mode is included, when moving the lever of gear shifting to situation + or – the transmission of Easytronic will be switched in a manual mode and will raise or, respectively, will lower transfer. On the indicator of a transmission the symbol of M and the transfer included at present will be displayed.

The mode of a backing can be included only on the standing car.

Press a brake pedal, release the parking brake, transfer the gear shifting lever to situation R. The backing will join. On the indicator of a transmission the symbol R will be displayed.

After a brake otpuskaniye the car will begin movement.

It is possible to get under way also a backing, without pressing a brake if at once after moving of the lever of gear shifting to press an accelerator pedal. If it not to press, transfer will not join (a symbol R blinks). Transfer the gear shifting lever to situation N and begin movement, in the beginning having pressed a brake, and then having moved the gear shifting lever to situation R.

In an automatic mode the program of regulation of temperature after cold start by a switching delay (on the raised turns) automatically quickly leads up the catalyst to the temperature demanded for optimum reduction of emission of harmful substances in an exhaust.

Adaptive modes will automatically coordinate switching process on other transfers with driving conditions, for example when driving with the trailer, with big loading and on liftings.

At SPORT mode inclusion time of switching is reduced, and switching occurs at higher turns (if the regulator of speed is not included).

The pressing of a pedal of an accelerator below a point of resistance leads to that for the speeds below a certain value the transmission will be switched to a low gear. For acceleration it is necessary to use full capacity of the engine.

NOTE When squeezing a pedal of an accelerator gear shifting manually is impossible.

In a range of number of turns of the engine, close to the top limit, the transmission when squeezing a pedal of an accelerator is switched to higher transfer even in a manual mode.

Without squeezing of a pedal of an accelerator this automatic switching in a manual mode is not made.

At a troganiye from a place in the SPORT mode with compulsory fall of transfer driving wheels slightly revolve. Thus the maximum acceleration of the car is provided.

At descent the transmission of Easytronic is switched to higher transfers only on the raised turns. When braking the transmission of Easytronic is switched to lower transfer in due time.

For use of brake possibilities of the engine at descent be in due time switched to lower transfer.

Both in automatic, and in manual modes at a car stop automatically joins the first transfer (at the included winter mode – the second transfer) and is switched off coupling. In situation R there is included a backing.

If at the working engine the door of the driver opens, and the pedal of a brake is not pressed, the warning sound signal stands out: it is necessary to transfer the gear shifting lever to situation N and to tighten the parking brake.

At a stop on lifting it is necessary to tighten surely the parking brake or to press a pedal of the main brake. Do not hold the car by the included transfer at the expense of increase of number of turns of the engine not to allow a transmission overheat.

At excessive heating coupling automatically joins.

At longer stops, for example in a stopper or on moving, switch off the engine.

Before an exit from the car tighten the parking brake then take out a key from the ignition lock.

Included by the last the transfer (indication on the transmission indicator) remains included. In situation N transfer is not included.

After ignition switching off the transmission of Easytronic ceases to react to movings of the lever of gear shifting.

If not to take out the ignition key, at a long time of parking of the car there can be an accumulator discharge.

If will not tighten the parking brake, within several seconds after switching off of ignition the signaling device of lay brake system blinks.

If at the switched-off engine and not tightened parking brake the door of the driver opens, the warning sound signal stands out and the same signaling device blinks. In this case it is necessary to include ignition, to include transfer, then to switch off ignition and to tighten the parking brake.

For a pulling of the car which has got stuck in sand, dirt, snow or in a ditch, at slightly pressed pedal of an accelerator translate the gear shifting lever back-forward between provisions R and A (or «+» and «–»). Whenever possible hold the engine on low turns and avoid breakthroughs by pressing an accelerator pedal.

NOTE The way described above apply only in the specified exceptional cases.

For exact maneuvering, for example at installation on a parking, arrival in garage, etc., it is possible to use property of "slipping" with the included transfer at an otpuskaniye of a pedal of the main brake.

At all do not squeeze out an accelerator and brake pedal at the same time.

For protection against damage of a transmission of Easytronic at a coupling overheat function of "slipping" is automatically switched off.
