3.4.2. Measurement of radial and lateral palpation of the bearing of a wheel

Removal
Remove a back wheel.
Remove a brake disk or a brake drum.
Attach the special MKM-571-B tool with an arm of the indicator of hour type and the magnetic holder to a brake board or a cover.
Establish the sensor of the indicator of hour type opposite to external edge of the bearing of a wheel.
Establish the indicator on «0».
Slowly rotate the wheel bearing.
Measure radial palpation.
Admissible lateral palpation makes: 0,04 mm.

NOTE
If value differs from set, replace the wheel bearing.

Establish the special MKM-571-B (3) tool with the indicator of hour type, an arm (1) and the magnetic holder (2) on a brake board.
Establish the sensor of the indicator of hour type opposite to the wheel bearing (as is shown in drawing).
Establish the indicator on «0».
Slowly rotate the wheel bearing.
Measure lateral palpation.
Admissible lateral palpation: no more than 0,05 mm.

NOTE
If value differs from set, replace the wheel bearing.

Installation
Disconnect the special MKM-571-B tool with an arm of the indicator of hour type and the magnetic holder.
Establish a brake disk or a brake drum.
Establish a back wheel and tighten bolts of fastening the moment of 110 N · m.
